Make sure your brake pads/rotors are the correct size people.

Kinja'd!!!

This customers rear brakes were not even functional at this point, the pads were contacting each other around the rotor. Of course they didn’t even notice, it was only in for an oil change.

Lemme guess, Honda?

I absolutely HATE looking up aftermarket parts for them. Even if you tell Napa/Advance/Autozone that its a EX/DX/LX/AC/DC they give you the wrong size. Or they have the rotor diameter listed by millimeters. MILLIMETERS! Who has a 200+ millimeter measuring tool?

Had a good one the other day, looked up pads for a 2014 Cherokee and O’Reilly’s site asked for PAD THICKNESS.

WAT

I bought a use Ford Escort years ago that had crappy brakes and I found the same thing. The receipt in the glove box was for the brake job done by Midas a year earlier. They install the wrong size rotors.

That was my second guess. Working AT A MAZDA DEALER I saw it happen. Tech put 2.0L rotors on a 2.3L Mazda3.
